CHOKO Jewellery was founded in 2025 by two Irish sisters, Lisa and Ruth.

The name CHOKO draws inspiration from
Japanese. “Chō” means butterfly and “Ko” means child. Reimagined through the image of butterfly wings, the meaning becomes even more personal and profound. A butterfly’s wings are two halves of the same being — identical in origin, mirroring each other in shape and pattern, yet never perfectly the same. This duality beautifully represents Lisa and Ruth: two sisters growing up side by side, sharing the same roots and foundation, yet each with her own individuality, strengths, and subtle differences.

CHOKO was born not only from sisterhood, but from years of experience in the retail landscape.

Together, they have worked in and operated global brands across sales, consumer goods, fashion, and accessories, developing a comprehensive knowledge of branding, design, retail, and customer experience.

This combined expertise
has given them a clear understanding of what makes a product commercially successful while remaining creatively authentic.
